The Friends of Bampton Classical Opera
From its foundation in 1993 Bampton Classical Opera has provided high quality musical events for a rural community at affordable prices. However this is at some cost, less than half of which comes from box office income.
Opera through the ages has always relied on enlightened patronage and we are extremely grateful for the generosity of the Friends of Bampton Classical Opera in the furtherance of our artistic plans. You can play a vital part in the future of the company by joining us.
There are two main levels of membership, Friends and Benefactors, with appropriate benefits: your involvement will, we hope, enhance your enjoyment and enable you to make a positive and valuable contribution as a benefactor of the arts. Furthermore, if you are a tax-payer, we can reclaim through the Gift Aid scheme a further 28% of the value of your donation at no extra cost to yourself (if you are a higher-rate taxpayer you can claim further allowances through your annual tax return). Information and a Gift Aid form can be found here.
Membership of the Friends starts at £75 per person. Friends are invited to an exclusive post-performance (or interval) reception and have their names prominently listed in the programme. In addition we hold an annual Friends’ evening, which might be a recital or similar event, to which all financial supporters are warmly invited as our guests.
The Benefactors contribute from £500 upwards, which can cover one or two people, and make a significant contribution to the company. We are always happy to discuss tailor-made packages – for example, maybe we could provide some singers for a special birthday or anniversary celebration?
In addition we are introducing a third category, the Capitals, who are very special to us. Contributions upwards of £2,500 from generous individuals help sustain the continuance of the company from one year to the next.
There is of course no upper limit to contributions! Please consider supporting the future of this exciting company.
