Concert Repertory

Since 1995 Bampton Classical Opera has celebrated the feast-day of the town's obscure patron Saint Beornwald, 21st December, with a concert in St Mary's Church. We also give occasional concerts, both in Bampton and elsewhere, at other times of year.

December 2007	Vivaldi by Candlelight Camilla Scarlett, Gilly French, Serena Kay and the Bampton Classical Players in a programme featuring The Four Seasons, Laudate pueri and a selection of operatic arias.
December 2006	A Baroque Christmas: Caldara Christmas cantata Amarilli vezzosa; Gibbons This is the record of John; Michael Haydn Aria de Passione Domini et adventu, Deutsches Magnificat; Kuhnau Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern. With Amanda Pitt, Serena Kay, Ruth Massey, Mark Chaundy and the Bampton Baroque Players, conducted by Gilly French.
December 2005	A concert inspired by music for voices and harp, including Britten's A Ceremony of Carols and Janacek Otcenas, with Deian Rowlands (harp) and David Owen Norris (organ), conducted by Tecwyn Evans

May 2007	Handel orch Mozart Acis and Galatea. A semi-dramatised concert version, directed by John Arthur, with Rebecca Bottone, John McMunn, Robert Murray, Vojtech Safarik and Cantandum. Richard Dickins conducts the London Mozart Players.
May 2006	Spencer House, London. Amanda Pitt, Mark Saberton and Steven Grahl perform at a London charity gala
November 2005	Singers Amanda Pitt and Michael Powell, and pianist Katrine Reimer, perform operatic arias and duets at a London private party.
